It's the base for Mt. Hood's biggest winter draws: Timberline Lodge (open for skiing nearly year-round on the Palmer snowfield), Mt. Hood Skibowl (night skiing and a summer adventure park), and the Summit ski area. Trillium Lake, with its iconic mirror view of the mountain, is just to the south.
